By chance I learned that today at 16 at Palazzo Chigi, held a press conference by Secretary to the Prime Minister, Hon. Paolo Bonaiuti, on the publishing programs.
Hard to think that you speak of that law of publishing reform that our country is waiting for years but that the governments that have succeeded thus far have not had the strength to carry on. I am very curious to see if, as they say, the starting point is the now famous Levi DDL that, after being announced, harshly criticized and modified has never been considered by Parliament.
A victory for all those who have fought bitterly for his discipline of publishing online, but surely the signal and the demonstration that the reform of publishing was not supported by adequate knowledge or belief.
The idea that I have done is that the legislature approaches to new technologies when it does so without a specific plan and, often, with "incompetence and improvisation". I hope that the forthcoming regulatory initiatives see the involvement of who we really want to innovate, to respond seriously to the needs of citizens increasingly digital.
Update: The press conference was held ( here you can see her on video) and, as expected, there was talk of reform law: the "new" bill will be launched within the month of October in line with the previous DDL Levi . E 'was also discussed the regulation of online publishing.
The prof. Masi, director of the publishing Department, reassured that there is no intention of burdening and bureaucratize the Internet saying, however, that the new legislation will provide for a definition of "editorial product" the most flexible and open. In terms of technical approach to this legislation is to prevent technological progress makes the rules quickly become obsolete, the risk is, however, to repeat the error of the bill that ended with Levi bureaucratize the entire Web, including blogs.
