How many of you know, last Thursday was held in Rome, at the Hall of Columns of the House of Representatives Conference "Digital Culture and Politics of innovation" that I organized with the friends of ' Institute for Policy Innovation ( Here you will find a summary). The meeting has attracted great interest (thanks to Massimo Melica I talked about it during the radio program " Binary Code "which you can listen to a podcast by clicking here ) and participation exceeded all expectations both in the theater is streaming. Over the next few days will put the videos online with assistance from the many qualified speakers who made the Conference a rare opportunity for discussion and debate.
Consistent with the pragmatic approach that distinguishes it, the Institute presented at the Conference that a White Paper contains concrete proposals for legislation in the field of digital culture on which we want to open a debate. I agree with you embeddandolo below:
In the document we have tried to single out some proposals for legislative action, some of you might argue that no rules are needed to the network because the network was born free. To these I say that our goal is not to bureaucratize the network, far from it: is to put rules that are shared and aware of the peculiarities and history of new technologies. Our only interest is that the brakes are removed (including legislative) that slow down innovation in our country, the Institute does not end in the conference, we want all those who care about innovation in Italy contribute to develop new rules that we want the legislature to transpose them. I tried to explain during the presentation of the white paper mentioned below carry the slides.
