The legislation on new technologies law now escapes any weight and depth, that is increasingly blitz that weaken the guarantees of the rights and hamper the development of new technologies.

In the course of the conversion into law of Decree Milleproroghe cd (DL n. 307/2008) the Government has placed reliance on a controversial amendment, intended to increase significantly the activity of telemarketing to the delight of businesses at the expense of consumers .

Here is the text of the article. 44 of the Decree:

"1-a. All personal data contained in databases be built on public phone formats before 1 August 2005, is lawfully used for promotional purposes until December 31, 2009, in derogation from Articles 13 and 23 of Legislative Decree 30 June 2003, n. 196, the only controllers that have established such databases before 1 August 2005 '

All this, again, without weighting, and against the advice of experts in the field and in contrast to the longstanding activities of the Privacy Guarantor .

Unfortunately, since the decree must be peremptorily converted quickly, you can not hope in a time of repentance and the withdrawal of the amendment.
