This is important news because - as a sign of Facebook already the case - there is a reluctance (or rather a difficulty) to use the whole Italian social networking tools not available in our language.
Personally, I have a LinkedIn profile at least since 2005 and I find it a very useful tool for legal professionals (I mentioned long ago in an ' interview with Valentino Spataro ), lately I've noticed that more and more lawyers are present on LinkedIn, but often do not use it effectively .
Many do not know what to do besides post a profile, responding to calls and occasionally send links to others, do not bother to do anything and rarely keep in touch with those who belong to its network. It would be like going to a professional meeting and collect business cards, but then expect to cultivate contacts and professional opportunities. Similarly, you can not expect to get benefits from LinkedIn without participating, follow and engage our contacts and follow their activities.
And 'possible to identify some common mistakes that are committed to using this social network and they are unable to utilize their full potential: ▪ Do not invite our professional contacts to connect to our network ▪ Do not customize the invitations, which prevents the person writing in to remind us that when we met ▪ Do not customize the address of our page would be preferable, in fact, use our name or that of our study ▪ Do not registrarci to groups, instead, used just to inform us about what's happening in our area and in areas of our business ▪ Do not update your profile regularly, doing so in a way that it can not be inferred as to help our potential customers ▪ Do not update our "status" ▪ Do not use the discussions to share our experience and learn from others ▪ Do not report events (eg conferences and seminars) which we participate and put the ones we organize ▪ Do not use the recommendations ▪ Do not use the Q & A, sharing what we know ▪ Do not use the search feature to find people who want to contact
For those who want to avoid making these mistakes, point out this video made by Kevin O'Keefe on using LinkedIn for professional legal advice.
